Well here it is all, this is yoru chance to decide your futures as a clan. Figure you all should have a say and I've thought about what I am willing to commit still, so here it is.
Note: If I don't feel like enough people care to vote/speak their mind, I will just do what I feel right and leave it at that. This is your chance clan, so I don't want any complaining if you don't attempt to put in your say and it doesn't go the way you want. Please read through fully and think hard about which you'd be happiest with. If you decide none of them fits what you think would be best, you are welcome to suggest another option. If it's something I can live with, I will put it up and people can vote on that as well. Thanks again.
Option One: Drop the entire clan idea.
This option is fairly simple. At this point I believe we’ve gotten to the point that we had advanced our relationships where we don’t just stick around together for the sole purpose of NA. In fact, most don’t play na here anymore anyways. In this we would continue on as we are, but without anything involving gaming, and just be more like a gathering of friends with the chat/forum being used more for individual purposes than for the game advancements. People could invite friends that they spoke to online who had nothing to do with na/nb as this would just be a general chat spot where you could talk/play any other games and have a..home of sorts still. In this option I will stay on as a “leader” of sorts, but will more just be in charge of making sure that things continue to run smoothly between members. Since there will be nothing “clan” wise to deal with, I will assign a couple people with solid temperaments to keep order when I’m not around.
Pros:
No more clan rank drama
No concerns about clan upkeep
A more casual environment
Cons:
Members who play na will probably leave
Very few additions to the clan member list
With no shared common goal, chances are the clan will dissolve much more rapidly than before out of boredom.
Option two: Find a new clan leader
This option is a bit more complicated. In this option, a new clan leader will be assigned to the clan with possible a couple co-leaders below him/her. Who will be chosen is still up for debate, but whoever does will be in charge of everything clan wide. They will be the new Chem5 for all intensive purposes. They will recruit, they will develop the clan, they will assign new mods/captains/etc. Whoever is picked will then choose the 2 co leaders to lead under them in order to help them continue on with this clan as best as possible. In this option I will stay on as a regular clan member or honored guest, and will still be somewhat active in talking with members, but not nearly as much as now.
Option 2 part B:
Just like option 2 but instead of a leader and co leaders, Chem will step down and assign a council of 3 to 5 members to serve as the new leading factor.
Pros:
New leaders may bring new ideas and ventures
Quite possibly a new direction for the clan
A new, more active clan
Cons:
Possible upheaval of clan
People may quit
Clan may slowly fold depending on the leader.
Option three: Clan expansion
This option is also a bit complicated. In this, I quit as leader of NA/NB but stick on as leader of the clan in case we decide to venture out to new games. In this option, I assign someone, or a small group, to continue on with all NA/NB business, while I remain a sort of overseer. I will not be as active in the clan as before, but I will continue to try and help keep the clan in order as best as possible. This also gives us the chance to extend to new territories and new games while remaining a clan. This also means that I will be in charge of very little alone anymore, and will simply just have the final say over certain things like members, rules, etc.. This is sort of a combination of part the first two options, just with me accepting a bit more responsibility still as the clan leader. Not having to be involved in anything na/nb wise, and having more help would reduce greatly the amount I have to do, and the dependency of the clan on me being around all the time.
Pros:
Remain as a clan
Remain active in NA/NB
A chance for more people to have a say in the clan’s direction
Cons:
My decrease in activity may cause problems still
The new NA/NB leaders may not appreciate having me over their heads still while doing little work
People really into na/nb may feel left out
Transition to new leaders may make some feel left out
